What Are Some Things You Don’t Know About Broadband?
Do you know broadband?
You can answer yes. I know that you may have tried different bandwidths than several broadband internet providers like Unifi Malaysia. You may have installed broadband multiple times. You know the speed of high speed: 2 MB, 8 MB or 24 MB. You can learn about monthly usage and control its use. But if you are not a technician in this field, you can’t understand everything behind these numbers. Broadband Internet Service Providers won’t tell you or try to write something in the shadow corner of your website.
Let me tell you all these things:
As more and more ISPs have packages, prices are becoming more and more unparalleled. Some packages like Talktalk have a call plan (including packages at any time or packages outside of peak hours), some packages are combined with mobile contracts, and some offers are only available to TV subscribers. A major problem is that most bidding instructions don’t show whether the price includes rent. They may want customers to forget that the rent for the line exists. However, in general, if the transaction does not tell you, it means that the rent of the bank is not included in the price. If you include a rental line, no ISP will forget to tell you.
When we talk quickly, I should tell you that the broadband Internet service provider like Unifi Malaysia is playing two rounds. The first is unity. They usually use Mb to describe speed. Do you think that if the speed reaches the theoretical maximum speed, can you download songs in MP3 format (about 4 MB) in half a second? You are cheated on the computer, the file size is expressed in MB, which means MegaByte. In the broadband specification, the speed is displayed in Mb, which is megabit. 1 megabit = 8 megabits. Therefore, 8 MB per second means 1 MB per second. Another example I need to emphasize is to ask your broadband Internet service provider like Unifi Malaysia for the maximum speed that your phone line can support. Because the entire telephone line in the UK does not support broadband 8 MB. In some areas, the telephone line can only reach 2 Mbps. If your phone line can’t handle fast speeds, buying fast broadband is a waste of time. I know that some ISPs don’t check for customers, it just opens up fast broadband for customers, regardless of the actual speed of the phone line.
Now, we know how fast broadband ISPs really provide us. However, there is another bad news: you may need to share bandwidth with 49 other people.
Therefore, at the peak time of the Internet, the actual speed can be reduced to 160 KB per second. It is 20 KB per second.
Ask yourself why? Because there is a broadband connection rate! Few broadband Internet service providers explicitly inform their customers on the website. But it affects a lot of speed. So what is the connection rate? The connection rate represents the number of users sharing bandwidth in a single broadband connection between the local switch and the broadband ISP. Typically, the connection relationship is 50:1 and 20:1. In the UK, the home broadband connection rate is 50:1, which means you may share your bandwidth with 49 other users, of course, this number will never exceed this number. Commercial broadband connection rates are 20:1. Internet peak hours are much faster.
FUP Usage Limit:
Are you upset because many providers like Unifi Malaysia have set a monthly usage limit for broadband, so you need to control how much you have been using? Looking for unlimited broadband? However, if a broadband provider offers unrestricted broadband access and broadband customers are trying to use it at any time, you should consider this possibility. Most providers offer a reasonable usage policy for unlimited broadband access, which is based on connection fees. Due to the connection rate, typically 50 people share a line between the switch and the broadband ISP. Not only does this slow down the bandwidth, it also reduces the volume of your downloads.
Let me calculate, if there are still 40 people (we have seen that one line can be shared by 50 people) using 8 MB bandwidth speed, the actual speed of each person is 200 Kb / s. It is 25 KB per second. So theoretically you can download up to 90 MB of memory in less than an hour. If you download 12 hours a day, 30 days a month, you can download up to 32 GB. This number is lower than some offers and is limited to 40 GB per month. So, not only can you see unlimited broadband connections. If you download a lot, some of the monthly high limit offers almost the same amount as you download.
However, the good news is that the monthly download limit or monthly usage limit is in GB, not in GB. There is no skill this time.
Even last year, few broadband providers offered broadband without a contract. But now several broadband Internet service providers like Unifi Malaysia do not offer contract broadband, such as PlusNet, NamesCo, Eclipse.
A broadband service called “Broadband without Contract” has a contract term. Generally, these are one month renewable contracts. If you do not want to continue using this broadband provider, please call the provider and request a disconnect. The contract will end at the end of the contract.
Some providers offer a free connection or a free modem, even if you verify such a contract within a month. However, if you disconnect during a certain period of time (usually 12 months), you must pay the connection fee and modem fee. Therefore, if you want to get this broadband, please read its terms and conditions carefully.
When you check the broadband availability of a particular provider, the auditor can tell you if broadband is available in your area. But then, when you plan to use this provider to install broadband, you may have to pay more than the price shown on the website to get the broadband. Read more about unifi package for home.
